My Sister / Shameless Promotion

First off, if you have at least 2 minutes of free time, anytime, you need to read this article about my sister, and then feel inspired. READ IT!!!!!!!!!!

And then when you have read that, and only once you have read that, you can read my interview with TrainingPeaks which unfortunately was published the same day (but does give a good shout out to the ECCC, rightly so).

For the record, she's about 3 or 4 times as talented as me in running or cycling. I kid you not - I worked the stopwatch seeing her on the track back when she was in 8th grade, and it was nothing short of impressive. I've seen her on a bike, too. Luckily, she has additional talents that I don't have - like for piano (jeez, like hell, since when do elementary school students whip off Debussy and explain its imagery in the process?) and the visual arts. Good thing. Luckily I can read books and write stuff at 3am without consequence. That's about it.

In any case, I again feel lucky that I can race bikes (and at that, still run, albeit without my past style). My injuries are nothing but temporary and false obstacles. Such sports are not a right but rather a wonderful privilege, at least as I now view it.

Skylar sure as hell doesn't view it as a privilege. Rightly so.
